Merit Badges and Rank Advancement
Leadership Advice For Scouting and Life
Scouting Benefits After Earning Eagle
Right now, do you feel confident that you’ll become an Eagle Scout? When I began Scouting, I sure didn’t. I never worked on earning merit badges, and couldn’t even stand going to scout camps for the first few years. Here’s what changed:
I found resources and teachers along the way that helped to completely transform my approach to Scouting!
Instead of being a follower, I became a leader. Instead of feeling nervous about having enough merit badges, I found the best ways to earn them. Instead of looking at Scouting as something I had to do, I decided to make the most of it.
Scouting can be one of the best experiences of your life if you just do it the right way!
Would you have a better time in Scouting if you were respected by your troop, able to build lifelong friendships, and always earning interesting new merit badges to progress to the next rank?
Whether you’re 16 and a Tenderfoot, you’ve skipped troop meetings for the past 4 months, or even if you completely hate Scouting, just a small shift in your approach and mindset can change everything.
Here’s The Key:
Take charge of your own growth. I’m sure you know this from school, but being just a little behind makes classes 10x harder. On the other hand, being even slightly ahead can make you feel like a freakin rockstar! Scouting is the exact same.
Regardless of your age, by taking charge in Scouting and being a little more prepared, you’ll become a respected leader that your troop can depend on. Here’s the easy way to get prepared and take charge:
Find and use the best resources available.
